Personal Progress : Faith; value experience #2

Alma 56:47
"...yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them."

The Family is central to the Creators plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

Review what "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" (see link above) says about a mother's role. With a mother, Grandmother, or leader, (or readers of my blog) discuss the qualities a woman needs in order to teach children to have faith and to base their decisions on gospel truths.
How can these principles help you in your life today and help you prepare to be a faithful woman, wife, and mother?

Comments welcome; I really would like to know what YOU think about this.

Some things that I thought of as I read the Proclamations were this; love, compassion, forgiveness, respect, work, service, fidelity, faith.
These attributes are essential in the plan of the Father. We MUST have these attributes in order to become faithful women of God.
My very salvation depends on my ability to teach my children these qualities, and what they mean, by example. They cannot learn something from me, that I do not have an understanding of myself. I must first become loving, compassionate, forgiving, respectful, work and service oriented, chaste, and faithful in order for them to learn these things from me.
They should NOT have to learn these things outside of MY home. I must teach them myself, and in order to do so I must first learn to become those things.

So what are some attributes that YOU have found are important? and how do you teach those to your family?

I am grateful for a mom who taught me to be strong in the Gospel of Christ. She has taught me so many things because she is a woman of Faith.
